ABOUT SHERMERVILLE PRODUCTIONS

FOUNDED BY NOAH WEISBERG

Noah founded Shermerville Productions in 2012 with the goal of producing awesome film, tv & theatre. You see, he knows tons of talented folks and so he was all like, “Why don’t I start a company where I can do projects with these folks?”

Why call it Shermerville? Well, he grew up in a suburb of Chicago that was originally called Shermerville, before the townspeople voted to change the name in 1923 because they felt it had a negative reputation. (Noah's a bit confused and saddened by this.)

Besides Noah, there was an even more famous filmmaker from the town, the incomparable John Hughes, who shot many of his movies in & around the area, even referring to it by name in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. This made Shermerville an obvious choice for a production company name. And also the website shermerville.com was available. So that was good.
